Orlando Ames

Critical Incident Response-supervisor-south King County at Community Passageways

Orlando Ames currently serves as the Critical Incident Response Supervisor for South King County at Community Passageways since January 2024 and as a HEAL Facilitator at Collective Justice since January 2022. Previously, Orlando held the position of Director of Critical Incident Response at Freedom Project from June 2021 to December 2023, where responsibilities included deploying trained staff to critical incident scenes and managing follow-up for affected youth and families. Additional roles include Reentry Director and Care Coordinator at Freedom Project WA, Program Manager of Education and Career Bridge Participant Navigator at Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, and Speaking Team Member for The If Project. Earlier experience includes positions as Administrative Specialist I at King County Elections and Manager at Ivar's Inc. Orlando was also President of the Black Prisoners Caucus and served as a Teacher’s Aide at Edmonds Community College. Orlando holds an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Ohio University, earned between 2009 and 2012.
