Eric Heaton

Eric Heaton is an accomplished educator and experienced compositor with a diverse background in teaching and visual effects. Currently serving as an English Language Arts Teacher at Art of Problem Solving and as an 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher at Community Roots Academy, Eric has a strong focus on project-based learning, filmmaking, and journalism. Previous experience includes roles as a compositor at notable companies such as Deutsch LA, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and Legend3D, where Eric led teams, supervised projects, and contributed to significant film titles including *Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse*. Eric holds multiple teaching credentials from the University of California, Riverside, and Concordia University Irvine, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from Laguna College of Art and Design.
