Javan Howard

Javan Howard is an experienced arts educator with a strong background in facilitating poetry-based lesson plans and mentoring students across various educational settings. Currently serving as TAP Co-Director for Curricula, Mentorship & Facilitation and Teaching Artist at Community-Word Project, Javan has also held roles such as Lead Facilitator and Mentor at Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts and Creative Writer at Teachers and Writers Collaborative, Inc. Previous experience includes Site Director at Wingspan Arts, Assistant Teaching Artist at GO Project, and Teaching Artist at multiple organizations. Javan's extensive experience encompasses the development and implementation of engaging programming aimed at enhancing youth skills and promoting a positive learning environment. Javan holds a Bachelor's degree in African-American/Black Studies from Dickinson College.
