Teaching Artist at Community-Word Project

Melissa Shaw is an experienced facilitator and educational consultant with a strong background in social justice, the arts, and education. Currently serving as a facilitator for Educate to Empower and Bridging Cultures Group Inc., and as an educational consultant for the Foundation for Jewish Camp, Melissa also works with various organizations including the New Jersey State Bar Foundation and the Anti-Defamation League, where responsibilities include conducting workshops and training programs focused on student leadership, anti-bias education, and Holocaust education. Additional roles include serving as an arts and education consultant and teaching artist, complemented by extensive training experience with Global Arts to Go. Melissa holds an MFA in Theater from Sarah Lawrence College and a BA in Theater and Writing from Emerson College.
