Ian Shakil

Ian Shakil serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Commure since October 2024, bringing extensive experience in health technology and strategy. Previously, Ian founded Augmedix in 2012, where Ian held multiple roles including Director and Chief Strategy Officer, and successfully led the company in its mission to enhance clinician-patient interactions while raising $80 million in funding and achieving over 100% revenue CAGR. Ian also served as an advisor at Edwards Lifesciences and held various positions at the company from 2006 to 2010. Ian's early career includes roles at MC10, HealthTech Capital, Intuitive Surgical, and internships at PixelOptics and Vesta Therapeutics. Ian holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
