Seluga Sekanwagi

Seluga Sekanwagi has a diverse work experience in the field of user research and design. Currently, they hold the position of Senior User Researcher at an undisclosed company. In their previous role as a Design Researcher at Cash App from April 2019 to July 2022, Seluga created a user research structure and framework, established a Rolling Research Program, and developed templates and guides to facilitate stakeholder requests. Prior to this, Seluga worked as an Experience Designer at Fuzz, where they led the design of a B2B inventory management product and conducted usability tests. As a Junior UX/UI Designer at App Partner, Seluga played a key role in enhancing user-friendliness and satisfaction in mobile applications and contributed to a Google Play award-winning app. They also gained experience as a Design Research Intern at HKS, where they conducted field research to evaluate hospital units and improve patient satisfaction. Additionally, Seluga worked as a Shop Technician at Keeland Exploration Center and as a Design Intern at Nest Projekt.

Seluga Sekanwagi has a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Product Design from the University of Houston. Additionally, they have pursued footwear design at the Pensole Footwear Academy. Apart from their formal education, Seluga has obtained certifications in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML through LinkedIn's Essential Training programs. They completed JavaScript Essential Training in August 2020, CSS Essential Training in May 2020, and HTML Essential Training in April 2020.
