After (unsuccessfully) pursuing his dream of being a professional cyclist, Townsend took his first 'real' job at 27. After years of working in bike shops and rolling burritos, he advanced from cold calling to serving as a vice president at a Fortune 500 technology company in less than six years. Townsend left the corporate world to launch a sales consultancy which pioneered complex sales outsourcing on a national scale

Over the past two decades ,Townsend has led hundreds of engagements and guided dozens of entrepreneurs to a successful exit. His passion is supporting founders and leadership teams with the creation of a scalable and predictable sales organization.

Townsend brings a unique breadth of experience gained from building successful sales organizations across every imaginable vertical, horizontal, and market segment.

Along the way, he has produced thousands of articles, videos, and learning programs making him one of the world's leading experts on complex, high-scale selling.
