Megan Garcia

Megan is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Master Addiction Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Fort Hays State University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Newman University. She began her career at Compass in 2011 as therapist. During this time, Megan did therapy, crisis services, competency to stand trial, integrated mental health services in Syracuse, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and addictions work. Megan is currently the director for Region 1. She still engages in therapy, competency to stand trial, DBT and addictions counseling on a smaller scale. During her time away from the office, Megan teaches an occasional class for KU. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, dogs, reading, sports and traveling.
