Dr. Danielle Gamez has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Dr. Danielle currently works at Compass Charter Schools as the Director of Operations. Prior to this role, they worked at Oxnard School District as the District Enrollment Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing student enrollment processes and ensuring compliance with relevant laws. Dr. Danielle also served in the U.S. Navy as the Installation Navy Gold Star Coordinator, providing comprehensive survivor services to over 400 Gold Star families. Additionally, they worked at Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. as a Work and Family Life Consultant, where they provided consultation, training, and workshops to military members transitioning to civilian life and sailors returning from deployments. Dr. Gamez also has experience in the United States Air Force as an Education and Training Tech/Base Training Manager, where they provided customer service and counseling to military personnel on education opportunities.

Dr. Danielle Gamez has a diverse education history. Dr. Danielle completed their Doctor of Educational Leadership- EdD degree in the field of Educational Leadership and Administration, General at California State University, Fresno from 2018 to 2021. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School Online in 2022.

Earlier in their educational journey, Dr. Gamez earned a Master's Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma between 2008 and 2010. Dr. Danielle also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of Michigan, which they completed from 2001 to 2006.

In 2012, Compass Charter Schools (CCS) began with a small team of educators in southern California committed to providing a safe, family-centered alternative to the traditional brick and mortar school for scholars throughout the state. While CCS has evolved over the years, the desire to provide excellent educational options has remained strong with our online and home school programs. Over the past five years, we have educated the highly gifted, the bullied, the athlete, the actor, the academically-challenged, the chronically ill, and many other scholars who sought a personalized educational experience outside traditional classroom walls. Today we work diligently to grow our learning community with families, scholars and staff who value each other and exemplify respect, kindness, teamwork and open communication. We believe in running a school built on integrity and ethical decision-making. We nurture those who have been wounded in some way by the traditional school setting, those not able to find flexible academic programs to fit their needs, and those in need of guidance as they tread on unfamiliar ground as homeschoolers. CCS truly cares about our scholars and is not only dedicated to their academic success but to their social and emotional development. Whatever the reason behind our scholars’ enrollment in Compass Charter Schools, we are here to provide an environment where our scholars can feel safe and inspired to develop into confident, innovative, creative, self-directed scholars.
