Gurbir Perhar, Ph.D has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data science and research. From 2016 onwards, Gurbir has held various roles at Compass Digital, starting as a Sr. Data Scientist and progressing to Vice President of Data. Prior to this, Gurbir worked as a Program Advisor at Northeastern University starting in 2020. Before that, Gurbir was a Data Scientist on the Research & Development team at Crescendo Technology Ltd. From 2007 to 2015, Gurbir worked at the University of Toronto, first as a PhD candidate and later as a Postdoctoral Fellow & Research Scientist. Gurbir also served as Chief Scientist at Armchair GM, an innovative fantasy sports company. Additionally, Gurbir has experience as a MITACS Research Scientist at AEML & Associates, and as an Analytics Director at The Player Project. Gurbir began their career as a researcher at the UTSC Physics Lab at the University of Toronto.
Gurbir Perhar, Ph.D, completed a Doctorate in Computational Ecology from the University of Toronto between 2007 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical and Environmental Sciences (majoring in Physical sciences) and Environmental sciences - water stream from the University of Toronto Scarborough, which they completed between 2003 and 2007.
