Jason Edwards has more than 25 years of work experience in the food service and healthcare industry. Jason started their career at DAKA International as an accounting clerk and eventually became a General Manager, overseeing vending and food service operations at a local community college. Jason then joined ARAMARK, where they served as a Food Service Director with complete profit and loss responsibility at various accounts. In 2007, they joined Stafford Municipal School District as the Director of Child Nutrition, managing a $2 million food service operation. During their tenure, they developed a budget model and led a strategic action team for facility improvements. After that, they worked at Chartwells School Dining Services as the Resident District Manager, where they successfully reduced program deficits and increased revenue. Jason then moved to Morrison Healthcare as the Director of Finance, leading multimillion-dollar system proposals and ensuring profitability. Following that, they worked at LogistiCare as the Director of Contracts, Pricing, and Financial Analysis. Currently, they are employed with Compass One Healthcare as the Director of Finance, providing finance support for their sales team.
Jason Edwards has a solid education background. Jason obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology from the University of Florida, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Later, from 2009 to 2011, they pursued further studies at the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Business Modeling and Decision Making. In addition to their formal education, Jason Edwards holds a certification as a Registered Texas School Business Administrator, awarded by the Texas Association of School Business Officials.
