Lindsey Marwood

Associate Director, Clinical Sciences at COMPASS Pathways

Lindsey Marwood has extensive work experience in the research field. Lindsey began their career as a Care Assistant at Snaith Hall Nursing and Care Home in 2004. Lindsey later worked as a Volunteer at 'The Breakfast Club' and 'The Dementia Cafe' at Tees, Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Trust in 2009. Lindsey then became an International Student Welcome Team Leader at Durham University before joining Partnerships in Care as a Healthcare Worker in 2010. In this role, they provided care and rehabilitation programs for patients with mental health problems and learning difficulties. Lindsey also gained experience shadowing forensic psychologists during this time.

Lindsey then joined King's College, London in 2011 as a Research Assistant on the SOUth London Diabetes study, where they contributed to determining the impact of depression and other factors on diabetes outcomes. Lindsey continued their education at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience and pursued a PhD in the field. After completing their PhD in 2017, Lindsey joined King's College London as a Postdoctoral Clinical Trial Manager, leading a multisite randomized control trial comparing the clinical and cost effectiveness of lithium and quetiapine augmentation in treatment-resistant depression. Lindsey played a crucial role in study set-up, protocol design, obtaining regulatory approvals, and managing the trial until 2019.

Since 2019, Lindsey has been working at COMPASS Pathways, initially as a Clinical Research Scientist and later as a Senior Clinical Research Scientist. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Research Scientist. However, the exact end dates for their roles at COMPASS Pathways are not provided.
