Carlos Gershenson is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of complex systems. Currently serving as the Head of Science at ComplexChaos, Carlos holds the position of Empire Innovation Professor at Binghamton University. Additionally, Carlos is the Vice-President Secretary of the Complex Systems Society and a Research Professor at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where Carlos also leads the Computer Science Department at IIMAS. Carlos contributes to the scientific community as a member of the Board of Advisers for Scientific American. Carlos obtained a PhD in Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel between 2002 and 2007 and previously earned an MSc in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems from the University of Sussex in 2001-2002.
