Tyler Cohen is a skilled physicist and educator currently serving as a Fact Checker at Complexly since January 2023. As a Grote Reber Doctoral Fellow at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, Tyler conducts statistical analysis of the millisecond-pulsar population and explores detection strategies for gravitational waves. Previous experience includes guiding educational tours at the Very Large Array, and holding research and teaching positions at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Gemini Observatory, Stony Brook University, and Arecibo Observatory. Tyler holds a PhD in Physics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a degree in Physics and Astronomy from Stony Brook University.
