Dan Petrica, PhD

Dan Petrica, PhD has a diverse work experience that spans across various sectors. Dan is currently working as an International Affairs Research Analyst at ComplyAdvantage, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Agora University of Oradea from October 2015. During this time, they conducted research in international relations and taught courses in Political Science, Human Security, Sociology, and Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy. Dan also served as the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator (Assistant Manager) at the university. In 2019, they worked as a Foreign Policy, Security and Defense Trainee for the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU at the Permanent Representation of Romania to the European Union/Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before that, from January 2014 to February 2018, they were the CEO of Skillzor Group, where they were responsible for creating and implementing business strategies, managing daily operations, and interacting with clients and partners in the emigration-related services sector. Dan Petrica has been an active researcher, speaker at international conferences, and published author, with a particular focus on topics such as EU Policies, International Institutions, The Transatlantic Partnership, Democratization, Sanctions, and Global Affairs.

Dan Petrica, PhD has a diverse education history. Dan obtained their Baccalaureate Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Colegiul Național Emanuil Gojdu in 2008. Dan then went on to earn two Bachelor's Degrees, one in American Studies and the other in International Relations and European Studies, from Universitatea "Babeș-Bolyai" din Cluj-Napoca in 2011.

After completing their Bachelor's Degrees, Dan Petrica pursued two Master's Degrees from the same university. Dan obtained a Master's Degree in Transatlantic Studies with a focus on English in 2013 and another Master's Degree in European Affairs and Program Management.

Continuing their academic journey, Dan Petrica earned a Professional Certificate in Regional Development Evaluation from Universitatea "Babeș-Bolyai" din Cluj-Napoca in 2014. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining a PhD Diploma in Political Science from the same university in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Dan Petrica has acquired several certifications. Dan obtained the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org in January 2023. In November 2022, they earned the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from the same institution. Dan also obtained the VIRTUAL CURRENCY AND BLOCKCHAIN certification from ACAMS in September 2022. Furthermore, they received the Certified Trainer certification from the Ministerul Educației Naționale in March 2022. Lastly, in August 2007, they obtained a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) with a Grade A from Cambridge University Press & Assessment English.
