Shawn Bruckman

Shawn Bruckman is an experienced professional in soil health and composting, currently serving as a Compost Consultant and Soil Health Specialist at The Ground Up since September 2012. Alongside this role, Shawn is also a Compost Operator Training Facilitator at the Compost Research & Education Foundation since July 2022. Previous positions include Compost Operations Manager at Honeywagon Organics, Director of Sustainability at Vail Honeywagon, and High Altitude Compost and Garden Extraordinaire at Feed the Need, among others. Shawn's educational background includes two Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Policies and Sustainability, and Environmental Policies and Cultural Anthropology from Michigan State University.
