Josiah Austin Gulden

Josiah Austin Gulden has a long and varied work experience. Josiah Austin began their career in 2009 as a performing artist, gigging as a singer, actor, and voiceover artist for the Minnesota Orchestra, Children's Theater Co., Jungle Theater, Theater Latté Da, History Theater, and other venues throughout the Twin Cities Metro. In 2011, they began working as a freelance Creative Director and Designer for Neon Beehive. In 2014, they joined BI WORLDWIDE as an Associate Creative Director. In 2016, they began working as a staff-level Product Designer for Livefront, inventing new products and reinventing old ones for clients such as Target, Optum, General Mills, and Fidelity. In 2017, they joined Target as a Lead Product Designer, founding the Target Drive Up and leading end-to-end product and service design from sketch to scale in six months. In 2020, they joined Meta as a Product Design Lead, helping rebuild the Facebook Integrity design team from a two-person skeleton crew to a thriving studio of eight IC designers plus management and design ops. Josiah Austin is currently employed as a Principal Product Designer at Compound Labs.

Josiah Austin Gulden attended Eden Prairie High School, followed by Bethel University where they earned a Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) in Vocal Performance. Josiah Austin is currently a Master of Music (M.M.) Candidate at Indiana University Bloomington in Voice.
