Lucas Alvarez Hamann

Lucas Alvarez Hamann has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering. Lucas started their career as a Research Group Intern and later became a Research Group Member at Universidad Tecnologica Nacional Facultad Regional Resistencia. In these roles, they conducted research, searched for scientific information, and prepared scientific papers and activity reports.

After that, Lucas worked as a Business Intelligence Engineer SSr at BluePatagon, where they participated in the development of strategic projects for Banco ITAU. Their responsibilities included using agile methodologies, SSIS, Microstrategy, and dimensional modeling. Lucas successfully redesigned and created the customer model for the Commercial Intelligence Datamart.

Lucas then joined OLX Group as a Data Engineer, where they worked on a Data Warehouse in Redshift. Lucas implemented pipelines using SQL, Python, and Jenkins, and also focused on implementing Apache Kylin for migration purposes.

Next, Lucas worked at Santander Argentina, starting as a Senior Data Engineer and later taking on the role of Data Engineer Tech Lead. Lucas played a crucial role in improving the bank's data infrastructure and culture, creating multi-purpose tools, designing a new data platform, and developing it using AWS, Spring Webflux, MongoDB, and GitLab.

Most recently, Lucas joined HelloFresh as a Data Engineer in the Marketing Tribe. Lucas managed the tribe's data infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and improved internal processes by implementing CICD pipelines in repositories.

Currently, Lucas is working as a Data Engineer TL at COMPREDICT.

Lucas Alvarez Hamann has a strong educational background in various fields. From 2008 to 2016, they attended the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, where they pursued a degree in Information Systems Engineering. This program focused on Engineering and IT, allowing Lucas to develop a solid understanding of these subjects. Prior to their time at the university, Lucas attended Institución Salesiana Pio XI from 2003 to 2007, where they completed their Polimodal degree in Humanities and Social Sciences. Additionally, from 2002 to 2007, Lucas attended The First This, where they obtained a degree in English Language Education, emphasizing their proficiency in languages.
