Jean Liu

Jean Liu has extensive work experience in the legal field. Jean is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at CompTIA since January 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Vice President of Legal at CompTIA from February 2022 to December 2022. Additionally, they served as the Associate General Counsel at CompTIA in January 2022.

Before joining CompTIA, Jean Liu worked as the Accreditation Liaison Officer at Digital Film Academy starting from August 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Adjunct Professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology from August 2021 to January 2022.

Jean Liu also gained valuable experience as an Attorney at Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck, LLP from March 2016 to December 2021, representing insurance carriers and handling various litigation cases. Jean started their legal career as an Associate Attorney at McBreen, Kopko & Dayal in November 2015 and then worked as a Law Clerk in different law firms, including SmithAmundsen LLC and Fogel Law Offices.

Additionally, Jean Liu has experience as an Assistant Paralegal at Malcolm Cisneros, A Law Corporation and as an Instructor at Eutonic School of Music.

Jean Liu has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, with certificates in Health Law and Advocacy. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from UC Irvine, majoring in Anthropology and Psychology (Cognitive Science). Jean completed their high school education at San Marino High School. Jean has obtained certifications from various institutions, including the Illinois Supreme Court for Illinois Bar Admission, as well as U.S. District Courts in the Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of Illinois, and the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
