Maria Robalino currently serves as the Deputy Comptroller of Public Engagement & Communications for the Comptroller of Maryland, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this, Robalino was the Chief Communications and Strategic Outreach Officer at the Maryland Department of Labor from February to November 2023. Robalino has extensive experience in advocacy and communications, including roles such as Senior Advisor for Latino voter and Labor Movement Outreach for Wes Moore For Maryland Governor and Managing Director of Communications and Campaigns at Americans for Financial Reform. Robalino also served as Federal Advocacy Director for the Alliance for Safety and Justice, President and Founder of Justice Strategies, LLC, and held various positions at AFL-CIO, including Senior Program Specialist for Criminal Justice Reform. Robalino began a career in advocacy at SEIU, where significant contributions were made to immigrant justice initiatives. Robalino holds a bachelor's degree in International Business from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
