Jake Baskin

Jake Baskin has a diverse work experience in the field of computer science education. Jake is currently serving as the Executive Director of the Computer Science Teachers Association since February 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Code.org for a period of 4 years, where they held the positions of Director of State Government Affairs and Director of Outreach. In these roles, they led various initiatives and campaigns to promote computer science education, including securing over $30 million in state funding and establishing partnerships with school districts across the country. Before joining Code.org, Jake was the Computer Science Department Chair at Lindblom Math and Science Academy, where they developed a comprehensive computer science curriculum and conducted professional development sessions for teachers. Jake also has experience as a researcher at Swarthmore College, where they published a paper on hybrid MPI/GPU interpolation techniques for geographic information systems.

Jake Baskin attended Swarthmore College from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science.
