Sebastian J S.

Sebastian J S has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sebastian J has been the Managing Director at Computomics since October 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Student (PhD) at the University of Tuebingen, the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology, and the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory of the Max Planck Society, from June 2007 to March 2012. Sebastian also served as the RSG Germany President at the ISCB Student Council, providing regional support for students in computational biology and bioinformatics in Germany, from 2008 to July 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Developer at Intra2net AG from January 2001 to December 2006. Sebastian also gained experience as a Bioinformatics Software Development Intern at Acconovis in July 2003 and as a Summer Intern at DaimlerChrysler in July 2000. Furthermore, they worked as a Freelance IT Technician at Porsche in August 1999.

Sebastian J S. obtained their education in the field of Bioinformatics. Sebastian J started their academic journey at the University of Tübingen in 2000, where they completed their Vordiplom degree in Bioinformatics by 2002. Sebastian J then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Diplom degree in Bioinformatics by 2007. During this time, in 2002-2003, Sebastian also participated in the Bioinformatics program as a Visiting Exchange Student at the University of Michigan. Following their Diplom degree, Sebastian pursued further specialization in Bioinformatics and completed their PhD at the University of Tübingen in 2012. Additionally, in 2007, they attended the Biological Networks Summer School at HUT.
