John William Bowen

John William Bowen has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. John William began their career as a Student Assistant at SUNY Polytechnic Institute's IT Help desk in 2018 and 2019, providing assistance to students, faculty, and staff with basic IT issues. In 2019, they also served as the Sports & Mountain Biking Director at the Boy Scouts of America Seneca Waterways Council during the summer.

Moving forward, John gained further experience as a Seasonal Retail Associate at Lowe's Companies, Inc. in 2020 and 2021. During this time, they worked within a retail setting.

In 2021, John worked as an IT Student Intern at Mohawk Valley Health System, where they assisted in the replacement of hundreds of computers and resolved hardware and software issues for end-users. Simultaneously, they also served as a Student Assistant at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, where they provided IT support to the university community and ensured the functionality of computer labs.

Next, John worked as a Desktop Support Technician at TEKsystems from June 2022 to December 2022, where they were responsible for deploying and maintaining PCs and IOS devices, as well as assisting end-users with university software at the University of Rochester Facilities Computer Support.

Currently, John holds the position of an Information Technology Services Specialist at ComTec Solutions, starting in January 2023.

John William Bowen completed their education history with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, which took place from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from McQuaid Jesuit from 2010 to 2018. Additionally, John obtained certifications in Microsoft 365 Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate from Microsoft in February and March of 2023, respectively.
