Sohil Shah has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Sohil started their career at JBoss as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2005 to May 2011. Sohil then worked at Red Hat as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2006 to May 2011. Sohil founded OpenMobster, an Enterprise Mobile Backend platform, where they served as the Founder and Chief Mobile Architect from May 2011 to April 2014. After that, they joined IBM as a Senior Software Engineer, where they took on various responsibilities such as being a Technology Lead for different Product Initiatives, delivering products from concept to production, and prototyping future product offerings. Sohil also worked as a Scrum Master for the Agile Team. Their technology focus at IBM included programming language Java, areas of development such as Mobile, Cloud, Software-as-a-Service (SAAS), Business Analytics, and Big Data. Sohil also contributed to products like IBM Tealeaf and IBM Digital Analytics Mobile SDK. Sohil then joined GE Aviation as a Senior Staff Software Engineer from November 2016 to February 2020. Sohil moved on to work at Visa as a Fullstack Software Engineer from June 2022 to June 2023. Currently, Sohil is employed at Concept Solutions, LLC as a Full Stack Software Engineer since June 2023. Additionally, in 2020, Sohil founded an open-source project called Braineous Data Platform at AppGal Labs, Austin, where they utilized Java as the programming language and worked with the Quarkus cloud framework.

Sohil Shah completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Christian Brothers University from 1995 to 1999.
