Scott Nicholls is the VP of Software Engineering at Concept3D. Scott has over 25 years of experience in the software engineering field. Scott started their career at Charter Communications in January 2016 as the Director of Video App Development. Scott was responsible for developing and managing video streaming experiences for millions of customers across web, mobile (iOS and Android), and connected devices. In December 2017, they left Charter Communications to join Wowza Media Systems as the Director of Engineering. Scott was responsible for managing 15-20 developers within the Product organization. Scott led video application architecture meetings bringing together development leads and architects, driving collaboration and consistency across platform teams. In January 2018, they met a critical FCC deadline by pivoting the web team to enable an accessible video experience for visually-impaired customers, accelerating the development of cloud DVR and transactional video on-demand (TVOD) features, and overhauling the site to enable screen reader support. Scott provided visibility into user behavior through client analytics and A/B testing support, enabling data-driven product decision-making and prioritization to maximize benefit to customers.
