Marianne Cortez Essalek joined Concern Worldwide US as a Grants & Compliance Accountant in 2020. She is responsible for supporting the proposal submission process, grant accounting and reporting, maintaining cash controls, providing financial reporting and analysis in support of the various programs, and all matters relating to organizational compliance with US Government awards. Marianne also provides support to the Programs and Operations teams and Concern Worldwide field staff in budgets and reports preparations to ensure compliance with donor requirements and regulations.

Marianne began her career with USAID as an accounting technician in the Philippines for six years and moved up to a budget analyst position where she was stationed in Iraq.

Before joining Concern, Marianne worked in grant management positions at Mercy Corps, Habitat for Humanity International, and GOPA Infra GmbH.
