Gretta Fitzgerald is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international advocacy, food security, and nutrition policy. Currently serving as the Head of International Advocacy at Concern Worldwide since July 2019, Gretta has been integral to the strategic management and implementation of Concern Bangladesh's programs, balancing long-term development and humanitarian responses. Prior roles include Programme Director, Policy & Advocacy Adviser, and Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, contributing to significant projects such as the DFID-funded BRICS program in Chad and Sudan. Gretta also possesses a strong academic background, holding a PhD in Smallholder Agriculture, Livelihood Systems & Food Security, and a BSc in International Development and Food Policy, both from University College Cork.
