Junyan Liu

Junyan Liu is a Principal Microbiome Scientist at Concert Bio since July 2022, focusing on microbiome data analysis, visualization, interpretation, and contributing to bioinformatic analysis pipelines, along with in-house microbial isolation, culturing, and testing. Previously, Junyan served as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate at the Wellcome Sanger Institute from October 2017 to June 2022. Junyan's academic journey includes a PhD in Genetics from the University of Cambridge (2013-2017), where the research involved culturing bacteria and studying indole's role in Escherichia coli under high temperatures. Junyan also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Hong Kong (2008-2011) and has additional education experience at the National University of Singapore and Zhejiang University.
