Dean Wendel brings over 30 years of hospitality and food & beverage experience to Concord. Dean joined Concord in 2008 as the opening Executive Chef/Food and Beverage Director for the award winning Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel. Dean was a culinary apprentice under one of the first Master Chefs in the U.S. Wendel then attended Johnson and Wales University in Providence Rhode Island, where he graduated at the top of his class. Prior to joining Concord Dean was on the leadership team of several Ritz Carlton Hotels throughout the country, and has held various Chef positions at Caneel Bay Resort on the Island of St. Johns, the Wychmere Beach Club on Cape Cod and was the opening Executive Chef for the Embassy Suites in Raleigh/Durham NC. Dean currently holds the position of Vice President of Food and Beverage for Concord Hospitality Hotels Enterprises and sits on the Marriott International Food & Beverage Advisory Board.
