Tom Myers has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tom started their career in 1998 as the Owner Operator of Badgerland Plumbing, where they gained valuable experience in managing their own business. In 2003, they served as the Village President of the Village of New Glarus, demonstrating their leadership skills in a public administration role.
In 2005, Tom transitioned into the real estate industry, working as a Sales Person at Wilde Real Estate. During their time there, they achieved exceptional sales results and maintained a perfect offer to closing ratio.
In 2008, Tom joined LSI New Glarus (later known as Jack Link's) as the Purchasing/Processing Manager and Production Scheduler. Tom effectively managed the purchasing and scheduling operations, contributing to the company's production efficiency.
Tom's expertise in facility engineering and management became evident during their tenure at Jack Link's. As the Facility Engineering/Management role, they oversaw large-scale industrial waste water, storm water management, HVAC, energy management, and mechanical aspects of the company's food manufacturing facilities in the Midwest. Tom successfully handled RFPs, multi-million dollar contracts, tax incentives, regulatory compliance, and waste management contracts.
In 2010, Tom took on additional responsibilities in the area of Corporate Sustainability at Jack Link's. Tom developed and implemented a corporate sustainability program focused on reducing energy consumption and waste, while also creating a Corporate Sustainability report on social, environmental, and supply chain practices. Tom's accomplishments in this role included implementing recycling programs and achieving landfill-free status domestically.
Tom's career then took him to Monona Plumbing and Fire Protection, where they served as a Project Manager for one year, overseeing various projects.
In 2017, Tom held two concurrent roles at WECC: Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation and Slipstream. At WECC, they served as the Client Services Director, while at Slipstream, they took on the role of Director of Business Development. In these positions, they utilized their experience in client services, business development, and their knowledge in energy conservation to drive growth and enhance client relationships.
Tom's most recent position is at Concord Servicing, where they currently hold the role of Vice President of Business Development. This role allows him to utilize their business development skills to identify and pursue new opportunities for the company.
Throughout their career, Tom has demonstrated a strong aptitude for business development, sustainability, project management, and leadership. Tom'swide-ranging experience in various industries and roles make him a valuable asset to any organization.
Tom Myers obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering from MATC, where they studied from 1991 to 1999. Tom later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the Wisconsin School of Business, completing their studies in 2016. In addition to their degrees, Tom also holds several certifications. In 2015, they obtained the "Excelling as a Highly Effective Team Leader" certification from SkillPath Seminars and the "Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt" certification from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2010, Tom completed the "Dry & Semi-Dry Sausage Short Course" at Iowa State University. Furthermore, they have received a "Certificate of Apprentice Journeyman/Master Plumber" from the State of Wisconsin and a "Real Estate Salesperson" certification, also from the State of Wisconsin.
