Will Crawford has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Will started as a Student Engineer at the UK Ministry of Defence from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at GKN Aerospace in 2002, where they were involved in designing new concepts for Boeing Sonic Cruiser jet engine nacelle. In 2003, they moved to GKN Driveline as a Manufacturing Engineer, working on the production line for Fiat cars in Italy. There, they implemented a new part flow system and acquired Italian language skills. In 2005, Will co-founded Concrete Canvas Ltd and served as the Director. Will successfully secured funding to develop the technology to a commercial level and has been instrumental in the company's growth, doubling turnover year-on-year and tripling in 2012.
Will Crawford attended King Edwards School Wormley from 1991 to 1997. After completing their secondary education, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol from 1998 to 2002. During their time at Bristol, they also spent a year studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 2000 to 2001. Later on, Will furthered their education by enrolling in the Royal College of Art, where they completed a degree in Industrial Design Engineering from 2003 to 2005.
