Danielle Bush Gerko

Danielle Bush Gerko has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Danielle is currently employed as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer/ITPM at Concurrent Technologies Corporation since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at NPC, Inc. where they held the positions of Chief Information Security Officer from 2018 to 2019, and Information Technology Manager from 2016 to 2018.

Before joining NPC, Inc., Danielle served as the Director of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College from 2007 to 2016. In this role, they managed a Microsoft Enterprise network and was responsible for various IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, and backup and disaster recovery processes.

Danielle's career began at Concurrent Technologies Corporation in 1996 as an Information Systems Project Manager. In this role, they managed and led projects valued between $2 and $10 million and oversaw a team of staff members. Danielle also designed, implemented, and maintained Microsoft Enterprise systems for a global network spanning multiple locations.

Before joining Concurrent Technologies Corporation, Danielle worked as a Network System Engineer at Link Computer Corporation in 1995, where they maintained computer networks for school districts and small businesses in Central Pennsylvania. Prior to that, they worked as a Systems Support Specialist at Sherikon, Inc. from 1994 to 1995, providing technical support for NAVAIR Novell Networks in support of Naval shipbuilding projects.

Danielle Bush Gerko has a Master's Degree in IT Project Management from Robert Morris University, a Bachelor's Degree from Juniata College, and completed their high school education at Norwin Senior High School. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the MS-500T00 Microsoft 365 Security Administrator certification from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers in September 2022, the EDUCAUSE Institute Leadership Program certification from EDUCAUSE in July 2015, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in April 2021, and the AlienVault Certified Security Engineer (AVSE) certification from AlienVault in December 2018.
