Senior Resident Geologist at Condor Gold

Dr Luc English is an experienced exploration geologist and manager with over 25 years global experience. Dr English has contributed to the definition of significant new mineral resources and the development of a number of open pit gold mines in Australia. During the last 14 years he has worked on a number of projects in Nicaragua in a range of geological settings; planning and supervising the first drilling on what is now Mako Mining’s San Albino Project, exploration drilling on Oro Verde’s Topacio Project, Minera Los Lirios’ (Electrum Group’s) porphyry system El Guaylo Project, and most notably as Condor Gold’s Country Manager from 2007 to 2015 where his principal role was to oversee 45,000m of drilling at La India Project, which led to the discovery and definition of over 2.32Moz gold mineral resource. Dr English help supervise the local technical team and was involved in several studies that comprise a pre-feasibility study for the La India open pit reserve of 6.9Mt at 3.0g/t gold for 675koz gold on the La India Project in Nicaragua. Dr English re-joined Condor in October 2020 beings with him extensive knowledge of geology at La India Project.

Dr Luc English is a fellow of the Geological Society of London with Chartered Geologist (CGeol) and European Geologist (EurGeo) accreditation he is a recognised Qualified Person by the Canadian Institute of Mining for reporting to NI43-101 standard. His Phd is from Cambridge University.
