Mandy Eaton is chief operating officer for Cone Health. As such, she oversees Cone Health’s hospitals, outpatient surgery and other facilities, as well as information technology, legal/compliance and enterprise project management.
Eaton formerly served as executive vice president of People & Culture. She was the driving force for increasing employee retention rates and leading Cone Health to be Great Place to Work-Certified™. Under her leadership, Cone Health also received the NCHL Bold Award for leadership development.
Eaton joined Cone Health in 2013 as part of the merger with Alamance Regional Medical Center, where she served as vice president of human resources.
Eaton earned a master’s degree in health care administration and a bachelor’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Eaton is certified in health care human resources by the American Hospital Association and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification® from HR Certification Institute. She is a PhD student at NC A&T State University pursuing a leadership studies degree
Eaton serves on the United Way of Greater Greensboro Board of Directors and Impact Alamance Board of Directors. Eaton received the 40 Leaders Under 40 Award in 2010 and the 2017 Outstanding Women in Business Award from the Triad Business Journal. She is a member of Leadership Alamance, class 2009.
