Wolfgang Lukaschek

Partner and Chief Building Scientist at Conectric Networks

Wolfgang Lukaschek has worked in a variety of roles since 2004. Wolfgang began their career as a Student Engineer at the Austrian Institute of Technology in 2004. In 2005, they became an Associate Research Specialist at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2006, they took on the role of Application Engineer Headquarters South East Europe at REHAU. From 2010 to 2015, they were the Division Manager Sustainability at Delta Projektconsult GmbH. During this time, they also founded The Building Scientist LLC in 2015 and blue auditor in 2015, and acted as President and CEO and Founder, respectively. From 2014 to 2019, they served as Partner and Chief Building Scientist at Conectric. In 2018, they became an External Lecturer at Modul University Vienna and in 2019, they became an External Lecturer at FH Campus Wien | University of Applied Sciences. In 2019, they also founded OTEREA and took on the role of Managing Director & Founder.

Wolfgang Lukaschek's education history includes a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Building Technologies and Management from the University of Applied Sciences Pinkafeld, Austria from 2000-2005, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Business Consultancy from the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt, Austria from 2007-2009, and a Building Science program from the University of California, Berkeley in 2005. Wolfgang also attended Armstrong State University for Mechanical Engineering from 2001-2002. Additionally, Wolfgang Lukaschek is certified as a Certified Energy Auditor from the Association of Energy Engineers in November 2014, a BREEAM Assessor from BRE, a DGNB Auditor from the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council, and a LEED AP Operations + Maintenance from the Green Building Commissioning Certification Institute.
