Cody Gehrke has worked in various engineering roles since 2007. From 2007 to 2014, Gehrke worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Utah's Department of Mechanical Engineering, where they created a vascular anastomosis system and published a paper on the design, fabrication and testing of a novel vascular coupling device. From 2014 to 2016, Gehrke worked as a New Product Development Engineer at Trebor International - IDEX Corporation. Gehrke then worked as an R&D Engineer at Fixes 4 Kids from 2012 to 2016, where they developed an E-Thotic Orthosis from concept to market in 11 months, managed a small interdisciplinary team to develop a K-wire positioning device in 6 months, created complex 3D part models, assemblies, and production drawings using SolidWorks, built multiple prototypes using 3D printing, machining, laser cutting, and sewing, and received the Utah Innovations Award for E-Fix and E-Thotic medical devices in April 2013. Gehrke currently works as an R&D Engineer at CoNextions Medical.
Cody Gehrke obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2010. Cody then went on to obtain a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2012. Additionally, they obtained a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification from NCEES in October 2009.
