Jacob Turner is currently engaged as the Lead Classroom Teacher at Coney Island Prep, contributing to the Student Culture Committee and K-2 Literacy Curriculum Committee since August 2023. Additionally, Jacob serves as an LGBTQIA+ and HIV-positive Crisis Counselor at the New York City Anti-Violence Project. Involved with Teach For America, Jacob participates in recruitment for New York and New Jersey and serves as an Active Corps Member. Previous roles include Director of The Hilltoss Cafe and various leadership positions within Students of Georgetown, Inc., alongside experience as a Student Advocate and a Juvenile Court Legal Intern. Jacob has also interned at Piper Sandler and Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, focusing on strategic decision-making and analyzing legislative changes. Jacob holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy and Business from Georgetown University and is pursuing a Master of Education in Childhood Special Education at Hunter College.
