Swati Singh is an experienced professional in international trade policy, currently serving as the Director at the International Trade Policy Division of the Confederation of Indian Industry since February 2022. In this role, Singh focuses on Free Trade Agreements, tariffs, non-tariff measures, rules of origin, government procurement, services, and investments, with a particular emphasis on labor-intensive and high export-intensive sectors in India. Prior to this position, Singh worked as a Consultant at the Centre for Regional Trade, Government of India, from November 2017 to November 2021, where the emphasis was on policy-oriented research in India's economic engagements. Singh also served as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis International University from 2008 to 2017, teaching and conducting research in subjects related to International Business, including International Economics and foreign trade policies. Singh holds a PhD in International Business/Trade/Commerce from Symbiosis International University.
