Chris Baum

Chris Baum is the Senior Vice President & Publisher of MeetingMentor at Conference Direct. Chris oversees the editorial and production team, and advertising sales, for ConferenceDirect MeetingMentor magazine. MeetingMentor's core audience is comprised of ConferenceDirect's 400+ associates and their 4,400+ clients worldwide.

Baum has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. Chris has held various leadership positions including President & CEO of Reno Tahoe USA, Senior VP of Sales & Marketing for the Detroit Metro CVB, and Vice President of New Business Development for National Amusements.

Baum is a highly respected figure in the hospitality industry. Chris has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades throughout their career. In 2019, they were inducted into the Meetings Professionals International Hall of Fame.

Chris Baum attended Cornell University from 1971 to 1975, where they studied hotel administration. Chris then attended Friends Academy in Locust Valley, New York from 1966 to 1971. Chris is also a Certified Hospitality Marketing Executive from HSMAI.
