Youri Cormier

Youri Cormier is an academic and executive with extensive experience in political and military studies. Currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the University of Ottawa and Executive Director at the Conference of Defence Associations Institute, Youri has held multiple teaching positions including Assistant Professor at the Royal Military College of Canada and Canadian Forces College, where courses on war, strategy, and political philosophy were taught. Additional roles include Lecturer at Collège Militaire Royal St-Jean and a correspondent and analyst for Radio-Canada. Previous experience includes a research fellowship at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and teaching responsibilities at King's College London. Youri holds a PhD in War Studies from King's College London and has held leadership positions in youth-led environmental initiatives with the Sierra Club of Canada.
