Ufuk Celebi

Ufuk Celebi is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as Director of Engineering at Confluent since February 2024. With extensive experience in distributed data processing, Ufuk has been a PMC member and committer for Apache Flink at The Apache Software Foundation since April 2014. Previously, Ufuk held leadership roles at Materialize as Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager from May 2021 to February 2024, and co-founded Ververica, where contributions included serving as Staff Engineer and Engineering Lead. Early career experiences involve research assistant positions focused on data analytics and systems engineering at Technische Universität Berlin, Zuse Institute Berlin, and Freie Universität Berlin. Ufuk holds educational qualifications from Freie Universität Berlin, ETH Zürich, and Technische Universität Berlin.
