Ellen Benson

Ellen Benson currently serves as the Communications Director at the Congress of Connecticut Community Colleges (4Cs), a position held since October 2014, where responsibilities include writing newsletters, designing and managing website content, and handling legislative communications. Prior to this role, Ellen worked as a Communication & Research Associate at CSU-AAUP from 2004 to 2014, and as a Public Relations Associate at Cashman & Katz in 2003-2004. Ellen also gained experience as a Legislative Aide for State Representative Mark J. Carron from 2001 to 2003. Academically, Ellen holds a Master of Science in Communication from Central Connecticut State University (2006-2009), a law degree from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University (1998-1999), and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science & Policy from Clark University (1994-1998).
