Passion - Do you have a genuine passion for helping people? Professionalism - Do you want to further your professional career? Prestige - Do you want to experience the prestige associated with serving members of Congress & Capitol Hill? Consider joining our team! Congressional Federal was established in 1953 as Congressional Employees Federal Credit Union. Our first branch looked nothing like the modern facilities our members enjoy today. In fact, we were located in the Folding Room in the basement of the Longworth Building, essentially operating out of a desk drawer. It was a humble beginning, with just eight charter members and $40 on deposit. Today, we continue to serve employees of the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as over 130 other corporate partners and associations. As a financial institution, we offer a full complement of traditional and non-traditional financial services in response to our members’ diverse needs, at every stage in their life. Congressional Federal has four branches located on Capitol Hill, in addition to a branch and operations center in Oakton, Virginia. We also participate in a national network of shared branches in collaboration with other credit unions. These shared branches give the majority of our members physical access to a branch. Online Banking, mobile banking, automated telephone service and ATMs also provide convenient account access.
