Jean-François Marquis, PhD

Jean-François Marquis, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of research and development.

Jean-François is currently serving as the Vice President of Discovery Research at Congruence Therapeutics since April 2022.

Prior to that, they worked at enGene where they held various roles, including Senior Director of R&D from April 2021 to April 2022, Director of R&D from February 2019 to March 2021, and Director of Immunology Research from November 2017 to January 2019.

Before enGene, Dr. Marquis worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a Research Scientist II from April 2011 to February 2017.

Jean-François started their career at McGill University, where they served as a Research Associate from April 2009 to March 2011, focusing on genetic control of susceptibility to pulmonary tuberculosis and IRF8 transcriptome analysis in mice. Jean-François also played a key role in setting up and managing a BSL3 unit for tuberculosis work.

Their early experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University from February 2004 to March 2009 and as a Research Assistant at Université Laval from September 1998 to August 1999.
