Andrew J. Allen

Andrew J. Allen has a diverse work experience in the field of music. Andrew J. is currently an Associate Professor of Music at Georgia College & State University, where they teach saxophone, chamber music, and music theory courses. Andrew J. also serves as the coordinator of the BA in music degree and coordinator of winds and percussion. Prior to this role, they were an Assistant Professor of Music at the same university.

In addition to their academic positions, Allen has held leadership roles in various music organizations. Earlier in their career, Allen held faculty positions at Midwestern State University, Valley City State University, and Claflin University, where they taught music and served as an adjunct instructor.

Finally, they earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Performance (Saxophone) with a Minor in Music Theory from the University of South Carolina, where they studied from 2011 to 2013.
