Christopher B. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Christopher has been the Artistic Director and President, Director, and Registered Agent at Kansas City Area Youth Jazz Inc. since 2018. Christopher has also worked as a Performing Artist, Clinician, and Endorser of Selmer (Paris) Saxophones at Conn-Selmer, Inc. since 2012. Additionally, they have been a Teacher of Music at Tune Shop since 2018 and an Artist in Residence at Leavenworth USD453 since 2017. Before that, Christopher held positions such as Chief of Operations at Artists Recording Collective, LLC, Co-Owner at BurnettPublishing.com, and Founder and Co-Owner/Executive Level Management at BurnettMusic.BIZ. Christopher has also worked as a Journalist at GateHouse Media and as an Adjunct Music Professor, Woodwind Faculty Instructor, and Associate Director of Jazz Combo at Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City. In 2011, Christopher was the Director of Operations and Communications at the American Jazz Museum, where they later served as the Marketing Communications Manager/Executive Level Management and Acting CEO.

Christopher B. has a diverse education history. In 1971, they attended Paola High School, but did not receive a degree or field of study from this institution. After high school, Christopher joined the US Army and obtained certifications in various musical fields. In 1975, they became a US Army Bandsman, followed by achieving the certification of US Army Band Group Leader in 1977. In 1982, Christopher earned the title of US Army Enlisted Bandleader.

In terms of higher education, Christopher attended the Armed Forces School of Music in 1982-1983, where they obtained a Professional Certification in Advanced Musical Studies and Organizational Management. Christopher later attended Berklee College of Music from 1977 to 1980, earning a Professional Certification in Arranging. Christopher then pursued further education in music at Columbia College from 1983 to 1984, where they received an Associate of Arts degree in Business.

Continuing their independent studies, Christopher enrolled in the University of La Verne from 1990 to 1991, focusing on Italian language studies. Finally, in 1996-1997, they attended Webster University to pursue Independent Studies in Jazz Studies.

Throughout their education, Christopher acquired valuable certifications and pursued their passion for music.
