Gareth Hughes has worked in various roles since 1998. Gareth began their career as a Glass Collector and worked their way up to General Manager for Several Companies. In 2007, they joined Apollo Cinemas Ltd as an Assistant Manager and Marketing Manager, where they were responsible for marketing alternative content to meet targets set by the Managing Director and effectively reporting to the directors using KPI's. Gareth also handled the hiring of staff, including issuing contracts, conducting inductions, and handling disciplinary and grievance procedures. In 2017, they joined Connect Childcare, where they have held the roles of Senior Product Manager, Product Owner, Product Team Secondment, and Customer Success Team Leader.

Gareth Hughes attended the University of Central Lancashire from 2013 to 2016, first completing a Foundation Degree in Business Systems Management and then obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Computing with Honors.
