Dr. Maria Adams serves as the Community Partnership & Outreach Program Manager Southeast at Connect for Health Colorado since May 2021. Prior experience includes roles such as Veterans Resource Coordinator at Clayton State University, where academic advisement and engagement campaigns were developed for over 400 students. Dr. Adams has also held positions such as Acting Director of Programs & Center Manager at USO, overseeing operations for two facilities and managing a $340,000 budget. Previous experience as a Community Organizer with PICO focused on leadership development and civic engagement, while earlier roles included a Public Service Aide with the City and County of San Francisco, Teen Counselor at Westmoor High School, and Tenant Services Coordinator at Chinatown Community Development Center. Dr. Adams holds a Doctorate of Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Master of Social Work from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from UC Santa Barbara.
