Marta Pascual-Gilabert has extensive work experience in research and development. Marta began their career in 1999 as a Researcher at InKemia IUCT Group in Spain. In 2002, they became the Head of Drug Discovery at IUCT, S.A., where they were responsible for research and development projects in various therapeutic areas. Marta also served as a Lab Manager and Coordinator of Medicinal Chemistry. In 2014, they became the Chief Scientific Officer at Myogem Health Company S.L., where they served as a Project Leader and Manager. Marta was also the SME Instrument Phase 1 H2020 European project coordinator. In 2017, they became the Chief Scientific Officer at Plasmia Biotech, where they managed KET biocatalysis/health biotech projects from discovery to scale-up of bioactive new chemical entities and generic active pharmaceutical ingredients. In 2020, they joined Grupo Carinsa as an R&D&i Project Management Officer and Coordinator, where they were responsible for the evaluation of new opportunities, contracts, IPRs, budget, planning, time schedules, stakeholders, and team management. Most recently, in 2021, they joined CONNECTA Therapeutics as a Senior R&D Project Manager, where they coordinate projects' execution within the company's R&D program and leads R&D project teams forward.

Marta Pascual-Gilabert obtained their Degree in Chemistry from the Universitat de Barcelona in 1997, majoring in Organic Chemistry. Marta then went on to pursue a Master in Experimental Organic Chemistry from the same university in 1999. Following this, they completed a Master in GC-MS from IUCT in 2000. In the same year, they also began a PhD Program - DEA in Organic Chemistry at the Universitat de Barcelona, which they completed in 2002. Marta then continued their studies at the Universitat de Barcelona, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Research, Development and Control of Medicines in 2022. Marta is currently enrolled in a Postgraduate Regulatory Affairs program at the Universitat de Barcelona, which they began in 2019.
