Neil mac Taidhg

Neil Mac Taidhg (Montague) is currently the Head of Applied Data Science and Strategy at Connected Places Catapult since September 2025. Previously, Neil served as a Senior Data Scientist and Transport Consultant at Arup from October 2014 to September 2025, focusing on strategic transport projects and sustainable transport modes through data science techniques such as agent-based modeling and geospatial analysis. Neil also held the role of Digital Skills Champion for Transport Planning in the UKIMEA region. Earlier experience includes being a Transportation Engineer and contributing to transport policy and design projects, in addition to serving as an Assistant Language Teacher with the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) from July 2012 to August 2014. Neil holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science, both from University College Dublin.
